Military Region 4 hands over new rural projects in Hung Nguyen

(Baonghean.vn) - On August 7, in Hung Trung commune, Hung Nguyen district, the General Staff of Military Region 4 held a handover ceremony of 150m of road and 150m of drainage ditch passing through the People's Committee headquarters, Kindergarten and Commune Health Station to the People's Committee of Hung Trung commune.

Implementing the movement of Military Region 4's Armed Forces joining hands to build new rural areas, the General Staff of Military Region 4 conducted a field survey, developed a plan and coordinated with the People's Committee and departments of Hung Trung commune, organizing for over 40 officers and soldiers of Battalion 38 and Depot K77 to march to help the people of Hung Trung commune upgrade and repair roads and build new drainage systems.

The above mentioned road is one of the most difficult roads for people, students and patients in Hung Trung commune to travel. Especially in the rainy season, the road is often flooded.

During 15 days, officers and soldiers of the General Staff of Military Region 4, together with local people and various types of machinery, organized land leveling, dredging ditches, transporting soil, pouring rocks to upgrade the road to a height of 0.6m, and building new drainage ditches, with a total value of 70 million VND contributed by officers and soldiers of the General Staff of Military Region 4, along with nearly 400 working days of soldiers.

On this occasion, the General Staff of Military Region 4 also presented 20 gifts to policy families and poor students in Hung Trung commune, each gift worth 500,000 VND.
