With 452/452 National Assembly deputies present participating in the vote in favor, reaching 100% (equal to 94.56% of the total number of National Assembly deputies), the National Assembly passed the Resolution on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution.
Resolution Resolution: Decides to consider amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to implement the policy of streamlining the organization of the political system, focusing on regulations on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and the demarcation of administrative units and local government organizations.
The National Assembly established the Committee to draft amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to preside over and coordinate with agencies to develop a draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and submit it to the National Assembly for consideration and approval at the 9th Session.

With 446/446 National Assembly deputies present participating in the vote in favor, reaching 100% (equal to 93.31% of the total number of National Assembly deputies), the National Assembly passed the Resolution on the establishment of the Committee to draft amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution.
The resolution resolves to establish a Committee to draft amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution consisting of 15 members, including National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man as Chairman of the Committee; Permanent member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh, and Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long as Vice Chairmen of the Committee.

The Committee is responsible for researching and drafting a Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; organizing the collection of opinions from the people, sectors and levels; explaining and accepting contributions from the people, sectors and levels, and opinions of National Assembly deputies to complete the draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and submitting it to the National Assembly for consideration and approval. The Committee is allowed to use the seal of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The Resolution assigns the Standing Committee of the Law and Justice Committee as the standing body directly advising and assisting the Committee; the Standing Committee of the Nationalities Council and the Committees of the National Assembly coordinate with the Standing Committee of the Law and Justice Committee of the National Assembly in performing its tasks.
During the working session on the afternoon of May 5, the National Assembly heard reports on the draft Law on Personal Data Protection; the draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy; and the draft Law on Atomic Energy (amended).
