These are not flowery statements, but the philosophy of action of the public authority. National Day is an opportunity for everyone to reflect on that noble philosophy - something that President Ho Chi Minh, the first President of the Government, affirmed right from the first days of the country's founding to all the people.

The greatest success of the August Revolution in 1945 was the birth of a democratic state - a state elected by the people and serving the people. The Vietnamese people "rose from the mud", escaped slavery, and became free citizens of an independent country. Therefore, tens of millions of Vietnamese people who had just escaped the yoke of feudal colonial rule at that time, although still hungry and thirsty for knowledge, still understood the great spiritual value and iron will that their leader confidently affirmed before the international community: "The entire Vietnamese people are determined to devote all their spirit and strength, their lives and property to maintain that freedom and independence".

To do that, the first thing is to build a democratic state - where everyone can express their aspirations as the true masters of the country. Democracy is for people to speak, for people to enjoy fairness. Fairness in obligations and fairness in opportunities to contribute. That core spirit was strived to be realized by President Ho Chi Minh and his government. Because, his greatest dream is "everyone has food to eat, clothes to wear, and education".

On September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square (Hanoi), President Ho Chi Minh solemnly read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

Although we know that over the past 70 years, the country's history has experienced ups and downs, twists and turns, and bottlenecks on the path of construction and development, and sometimes we even had to pay the price for mistakes, success is still fundamental. The cause of innovation has reaped many achievements when it helped the country rise from a poor, embargoed country to a middle-income country, a bright spot in investment, and a reliable partner in many economic and political forums for international friends.

That is to say, no matter how it is expressed, when firmly following the path chosen by the Party and Uncle Ho, the ultimate goal of the Government is still to serve the interests of the people. In his inauguration message, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed his determination to build a constructive government.
