Quy Hop: A large fire burned down more than 1 hectare of bananas, 2 hectares of mixed forest and 1 house.
(Baonghean.vn) - Accordingly, at about 3:30 p.m. on July 5, a large fire broke out in a banana forest in Minh Tien hamlet, Minh Hop commune, Quy Hop district.
Immediately after discovering the fire in the above area, the leaders of Quy Hop district mobilized over 50 officers and soldiers of the district police to coordinate with Minh Hop commune to mobilize hundreds of people including the commune police force, militia and local people to put out the fire and clear the trees to contain the fire.

Because the forest fire area had dense vegetation and no water source, the fire spread quite quickly and spread to bamboo forests, reeds... After many hours of effort, at about 5:30 p.m. the same day, the fire was basically extinguished.
However, at this time, due to strong southwest winds, the coal and ash flew and caught fire in the house of Ms. Truong Thi Sam's family in Minh Tien hamlet. The entire 3-room house and all the property inside were burned down; estimated damage was over 150 million VND.

Currently, the local government is coordinating with the District Forest Protection Department to determine the damage. Initially, Minh Hop commune has been assigned to mobilize forces and mass organizations to help the family whose house burned down to overcome the consequences.
Authorities are coordinating to investigate the cause of the fire.
