Quy Hop timely rescued 6 people trapped in flood

Due to the impact of storm No. 4, heavy rains lasted from the night of August 16 to the end of August 17, causing many roads and residential areas to be heavily flooded in all localities in Quy Hop. While the forces were helping people in Nghia Xuan commune to evacuate, they received news that 6 people were trapped in the flood.

At this time, the local authorities of Chau Dinh and Tam Hop communes have deployed rescue forces to the scene to carry out initial rescue work. Immediately after that, the leaders of Quy Hop district directed the military and police forces to mobilize hundreds of soldiers and specialized boats to enter the isolated deep-water area to rescue 6 trapped victims.

Among the 6 people trapped and unable to get out, there were 4 people from Thinh village, Chau Dinh commune and 2 people from Vac hamlet, Tam Hop commune. On the afternoon of August 17, the authorities were able to bring all 6 people out of the isolated area safely.

The victims said that when they were returning from work through this area, they encountered heavy rain and went to a shop to take shelter. However, the flood water got deeper and faster, so they worriedly called for help. On the same day, the flood prevention force of Quy Hop district evacuated 130 households to safety.

On the morning of August 18, taking advantage of the rain and receding water levels, militia and police forces in localities in Quy Hop continued to help people overcome the consequences of floods and soon stabilize their lives.
