Quy Hop - a charming land on the tourist map of Nghe An

In 2001, Quy Hop district was selected by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and Nghe An province to build a district of mountainous and ethnic minority culture. Up to now, Quy Hop still retains many cultural beauties, and is a charming and unique destination on the tourist map of Nghe An.

Đền Choong — Located at the foot of Pu Den Mountain (meaning Temple Mountain in Thai), in Chau Ly Commune, Quy Hop District, Choong Temple is a sacred temple associated with the legend of Nang Phom Hom (Fragrant Hair Girl) that has been passed down by the locals for generations. The story goes that in the 15th century, a talented general of the Lam Son army fell in love and promised to marry a beautiful and virtuous Thai girl named Nang Phom Hom - Fragrant Hair Girl. Following the General on his long journeys, in the rear, she and the locals worked even harder to cultivate, grow silk and weave. But unfortunately, one afternoon, while missing the General on the battlefield, while washing her hair, she accidentally slipped and was swept away by the water into a deep abyss...
