Quy Hop - a charming land on the tourism map of Nghe An province.

In 2001, Quy Hop district was selected by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and Nghe An province to be developed as a model district for mountainous and ethnic minority culture. To this day, Quy Hop still preserves many beautiful cultural features, making it a charming and distinctive destination on the tourism map of Nghe An province.

Located in the northwest of Nghe An province, Quy Hop is a mountainous district with a relatively favorable geographical location, only 120km from Vinh City and 340km from Hanoi. Đền Choong
Located at the foot of Pu Den Mountain (meaning "Temple Mountain" in Thai), in Chau Ly commune, Quy Hop district, Choong Temple is a sacred temple associated with the legend of Nang Phom Hom (the fragrant-haired girl), passed down through generations by the local people. The story goes that in the 15th century, a talented general of the Lam Son army fell in love with and pledged their marriage to a beautiful and virtuous Thai girl named Nang Phom Hom – the fragrant-haired girl. Following the general's battles on the battlefield, she and the villagers worked diligently in the rear, cultivating crops and weaving silk. Unfortunately, one afternoon, in her longing for her general on the battlefield, while washing her hair, she accidentally slipped and was swept into a deep ravine… Photo: Nguyen Dao

Upon receiving the news, the general immediately returned with his soldiers and the people of Muong Choong, searching for her day and night. But the ravine was too deep; even after digging up the earth along the banks of the Nam Choong River and piling it up into mountains, they could not find her, only her fragrant strands of hair. Out of love and longing for her, the people of Muong Choong erected a temple on Pu Den mountain – the temple is called Choong Temple. (Photo: Nguyen Dao)

Located atop Pu Nha Pom (Ba Than Mountain), close to the Nam Huong River, Le Temple (Ban Le hamlet, Chau Quang commune, Quy Hop district) is a place of worship dedicated to the "girl from Le village".
