(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 16, Quynh Luu district organized a meeting and commended coaches and athletes who achieved excellent results at the 25th Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth - Children's Football Tournament, 2023.
The Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth and Children Football Tournament is an annual tournament within the province's annual competition program organized by Nghe An Newspaper, the Department of Culture and Sports, the Department of Education and Training, and Song Lam Nghe An Sports Joint Stock Company. Participating in this tournament are 354 youth and children athletes from 28 football teams from districts, cities, and towns.

Quynh Luu district participated in 2 youth and children's football teams, with a total of 26 athletes. In the final result of the youth category, Quynh Luu youth football team excellently won the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Championship.
To achieve this achievement, the Coaching Board of the Culture - Sports and Communication Center of Quynh Luu district has done a good job in selecting players, directing serious training with reasonable tactics right from the beginning of the year, along with timely encouragement from all levels, sectors and localities.

In the final match against Vinh City's youth team on the afternoon of June 15, Quynh Luu youth team entered the field with an exciting atmosphere and high team spirit, creating many good attacks and beautiful plays. With a 3-2 victory, Quynh Luu youth football team won the 25th Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth - Children Football Championship, 2023.

At the meeting, leaders of Quynh Luu district congratulated and praised the coaches and young players, and hoped that they would study hard, cultivate morality and practice enthusiastically to continue to win high positions in the upcoming seasons, bringing glory to Quynh Luu sports.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district presented gifts to the children's football team and awarded Certificates of Merit to 16 outstanding individuals (including coaches and athletes of the youth football team) who achieved excellent results at the Youth - Children Football Tournament, Nghe An Newspaper Cup.
At the meeting, many organizations, individuals and businesses inside and outside the district also gave gifts and congratulated the success of the coaches and members of the football teams with a total amount of 35 million VND.
