On the morning of July 20, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of the Center for Disease Control of Nghe An province informed: In the past 12 hours (from 7:00 p.m. on July 19 to 7:00 a.m. on July 20), Nghe An recorded 2 new cases positive for Covid-19. Both patients are long-distance drivers passing through Nghe An.

First new case of Covid-19 infectionis HVĐ, male, born in 1985. Occupation: Driver. Address: Loc Dien Commune, Phu Loc District, Thua Thien Hue Province. On July 18, the patient drove a truck carrying goods from Tien Giang Province to Lang Son. At 2:29 p.m. on July 19, the patient went to Minh An General Hospital, Quynh Luu District to do a rapid Covid-19 test, the rapid test result was positive twice. The patient was immediately quarantined at Minh An General Hospital and samples were sent to Nghe An CDC. On the morning of July 20, the test result confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Second new case of Covid-19 infectionis Đ.HM, male, born in 1993. Occupation: Driver. Address: Group 5, Tran Hung Dao Ward, Kon Tum City, Kon Tum Province. The patient traveled on the same long-distance bus and is F1 of Patient NNH who was previously announced. On July 17, the patient was quarantined at Quynh Luu Medical Center, and the first RT-PCR test was negative. On July 19, the patient showed signs of cough, sore throat, mild fever and the Quynh Luu Medical Center took samples and sent them to Nghe An CDC for the second test. On the morning of July 20, the test result confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Up to now, the province has recorded167 patients with Covid-19in 12 localities: Vinh City: 90, Tuong Duong: 23 cases, Dien Chau: 20, Nam Dan: 06, Quynh Luu: 08, Ky Son: 06 cases, Quy Hop: 05, Nghi Loc: 04, Hoang Mai: 02, Do Luong: 01, Nghia Dan: 01, Tan Ky: 01.
