The head of Hoa Son village, Mr. Vi Van Truyen, said that after the flood, the entire village's domestic water system was severely damaged and could not be restored due to the thick layer of buried soil and rocks. To have water for daily use, people first used hoes and shovels to dig a small hole next to the Huoi Giang stream to let the water rise and settle, then scoop it up in buckets to use for cooking.
"The village has two natural water sources flowing along the stream but they are not usable, and two water tanks are also buried and damaged. In addition, the village has lost about 2 hectares of rice fields due to buried rocks and soil. We hope to invest in rebuilding the domestic water system for long-term use by the people," said Mr. Vi Van Truyen.
In Son Ha village, domestic water works were also completely damaged. Mr. Mua Ba Vu - Head of Son Ha village said: The whole village has 1 self-flowing domestic water work with 6 water tanks, providing domestic water for almost all households in the village. Currently, families that have not suffered damage to their houses or property still have some water in their temporary tanks, but because the tanks are small, they can only be used for a few days before running out of water.
