Truck driver who encroached on lane, causing death of young couple, detained

Previously, at around 7am on May 22, Sy drove a truck with a Thanh Hoa license plate on National Highway 46. When he reached Van Dien commune, Nam Dan district, he collided with a motorbike driven by Mr. Le Van Quy (69 years old, residing in Van Dien commune).
After the collision, Mr. Quy and his motorbike fell to the side of the road. Meanwhile, the truck continued to move into the left lane, hitting the motorbike driven by Mr. Nguyen Khac Khoa (28 years old, Thanh Khe commune, Thanh Chuong). Mr. Khoa was taking his pregnant wife, who was about to give birth, to the hospital for a check-up.

The impact was so strong that the motorbike was thrown several meters away, and the pregnant woman died on the spot. Mr. Khoa was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment but later died. Meanwhile, Mr. Quy is also being treated at the hospital for a broken arm.
After causing the accident, driver Sy quickly left the scene.
