Donating breeding cows to poor households in Do Luong and Nghia Dan
(Baonghean.vn) - Practically celebrating the 86th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2016) and the national solidarity festival in residential areas, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Do Luong and Nghia Dan districts and the "Fund for the Poor" Campaign Committee organized a ceremony to give cows to poor households in the area.

* This time, Do Luong district allocated over 400 million VND from the "Fund for the Poor" to buy 27 breeding cows to give to 27 poor households in 17 communes. Each cow is worth 13 million VND. This is a fund for the poor that was donated and supported by Do Luong officials and people in 2016. Giving cows to poor households aims to help families raise breeding cows, contributing to reducing difficulties to escape poverty.
It is known that in 2016, Do Luong officials and people donated 1.6 billion VND to the fund for the poor. Up to now, the "Fund for the Poor" Mobilization Committee of the district has supported the construction of 24 new "Great Unity" houses and repaired 11 houses for poor households with the amount of 400 million VND; supported 186 cases of sudden difficulties with the amount of over 100 million VND; assisted 1,196 poor students with the amount of 350 million VND; supported 172 poor households to develop production with the amount of 180 million VND.

*On this occasion, the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghia Dan district and Nghia Loc commune organized the donation of 6 breeding cows to 6 poor households in the area, each cow worth 13 million VND. This is the third year that the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghia Dan district has organized the donation of breeding cows to poor households. These cows will help poor households develop their economy and escape poverty.
