Strengthening training cooperation between Vinh University of Technology Education and Lao PDR
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of February 22, a delegation from the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports, the Lao Embassy in Vietnam and representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training visited and worked with Vinh University of Technical Education.
In recent years, Vinh University of Technology and Education has regularly cooperated in international training with the Lao People's Democratic Republic. In particular, it has signed cooperation agreements with the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports, the Department of Education and Sports of Vientiane Capital, the provinces of Bolykhamxay, Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan, Savanakhet, Kham Nou, the technical and vocational colleges of Pakpasak, Bolykhamxay, Champasak, Dongkhamxang... to train students in technical and pedagogical fields. Currently, Vinh University of Technology and Education has trained more than 300 international students at the levels of Master's, University, College, vocational training and Vietnamese language.

At the meeting, the school leaders introduced the training programs in 2019. The school also informed about the school's development plan, scholarship programs, and support costs for international students. In addition, the two sides discussed the difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process and the plan to train Vietnamese for Lao students at the school before applying for university and graduate school.
In the coming time, training cooperation will be implemented more practically, based on the human resource needs of Laos. At the same time, students are encouraged to study professions to meet the industrialization development process of the country, especially to meet the requirements of high-quality human resources and the 4.0 Industrial Revolution.

In addition, the two countries will also increase student and lecturer exchanges and promote scientific research cooperation.
