Facilitate the implementation of My Ly and Nam Mo 1 hydropower projects

The My Ly Hydropower Project and Nam Mo 1 Hydropower Project are located in the upper reaches of the Ca River in My Ly and Ta Ca communes, Ky Son district. This is a project involving the two countries of Vietnam and Laos. Of which, the My Ly Hydropower Project has a total investment of about 7,669 billion VND and the Nam Mo 1 Hydropower Project has a total investment of about 2,745 billion VND. It is expected that the hydropower projects will generate commercial electricity to the national grid in 2021.
Up to now, My Ly - Nam Mo 1 Hydropower Joint Stock Company has completed the survey, drilling and exploration of geology and terrain of the construction area of the factory and dam line. Regarding the work of inventory, compensation plan, site clearance, resettlement, etc., the investor is waiting for the Ministry of Industry and Trade to officially approve the scale of the project, which will then have enough basis for implementation.

At the meeting, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts in implementing the project of the investor and related levels and sectors, and affirmed: My Ly Hydropower Project and Nam Mo 1 Hydropower Project are large-scale projects, after being put into operation, they will greatly contribute to the country's electricity source, at the same time contribute a lot to the state budget, create jobs for people, reduce floods... Therefore, it is necessary to develop a plan to relocate people, timely compensate and clear the site, especially to ensure security and defense. The Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant departments and sectors to continue to coordinate with the investor to resolve related issues to create favorable conditions for project implementation.
