Focus on overcoming landslides and rescuing isolated villagers in Ky Son
(Baonghean.vn) - After many days of heavy rain, as of the morning of July 21, 28 households with 210 people of the Kho Mu ethnic group in Huoi Thum village, Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district are still isolated.
According to the report of Na Ngoi Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard), due to the impact of storm No. 3, prolonged heavy rain led to rising stream water causing flooding, washing away temporary bridges and isolating people in Tang Phan and Huoi Thum villages.In particular, Huoi Thum village currently has 28 households with 210 people of the Kho Mu ethnic group.

On Highway 7B, landslides occurred at 7 points, from Nam Khien - Nam Can village to Xieng Xi - Na Ngoi village, causing traffic congestion.
To promptly overcome the consequences, on July 20, Na Ngoi Border Guard Station coordinated with the Economic Group of Military Region 4 and local authorities, and the commune militia to go to flooded areas at risk of landslides to mobilize people to evacuate people and move property out of dangerous areas; clear landslide and congested roads to ensure motorbikes can pass.
At the same time, local staff have policies to support food for villages that have been isolated for a long time and are unable to be self-sufficient if heavy rains continue.

On the morning of July 21, units coordinated with local authorities to mobilize excavators and local forces to clear 7 major landslides from Phu Kha 1 and Phu Kha 2 villages in Na Ngoi commune to Tham Hin village in Nam Can commune (Ky Son).
