Recorded at fishing portLach Quen, Quynh Thuan commune (Quynh Luu) last evening (November 13), hundreds of fishing boats returned to shore to avoid storm No. 13. As for fishing boats operating in coastal areas, this morning, November 14, fishermen proactively collected their nets and moved to safe anchorage to avoid the storm.
Quynh Luu district has nearly 1,200 vessels (including more than 700 offshore fishing vessels). As of this morning (November 14), there are about 50 offshore vessels on their way to shore for shelter, the rest are safely sheltering at Lach Quen and Lach Thoi ports. Coastal fishing vessels and fishermen are looking for safe anchorages to avoid damage when the storm hits.

In townHoang Mai,Immediately after the telegram on banning ships from going to sea during storm No. 13, last night, November 13, the Economic - Infrastructure Department of Hoang Mai town directed coastal wards and communes of Quynh Phuong, Quynh Lap, Quynh Lien... not to let fishermen go to sea to catch seafood but to focus on propaganda to stay at home to avoid and take shelter from the storm.
With nearly 1,000 vessels, as of this morning (November 14), there are still about 60 vessels on their way to shore to avoid and take shelter. It is expected that by early this afternoon, 100% of the vessels will be safely anchored and take shelter.
In Dien Ngoc commune - the locality with the largest number of boats in the districtDien Chau, the vehicles have also returned from the evening of November 13. Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Vice Chairman of Dien Ngoc Commune People's Committee said: The whole commune has nearly 400 boats, of which, there are 112 large-capacity boats. After receiving instructions from the Provincial People's Committee, on the evening of November 13, about 70% of the boats returned and anchored safely. The rest are on their way back this morning.

In townCua Lo, the main anchorage points for ships such as Nghi Thuy and Cua Hoi ports are also bustling with ships returning to anchor.
Currently, the whole town has nearly 300 boats, of which 90 are large capacity boats, and 40 are offshore fishing boats with a capacity of over 400 CV. These boats have received information and moved back to shore on the morning of November 14. The rest are present at the ports and are concentrating on anchoring and mooring at safe locations.

Previously, on the afternoon of November 13, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control of Nghe An province issued urgent dispatch No. 44 on prohibiting ships from going to sea during storm No. 13. In particular, all types of ships and means of transport are prohibited from going to sea from 5:00 p.m. on November 13, 2020. Ships operating at sea must return to shore to anchor to ensure safety before 10:00 a.m. on November 14, 2020. Nghe An province currently has 3,503 vehicles/17,580 workers directly fishing. By this morning, the number of vehicles and workers had basically returned to shelter, avoiding safety at the port and other provinces.
