Nghe An rower wins 2 Gold Medals at 2024 Asian Youth and U23 Canoeing Championships
At the 2024 Asian Youth and U23 Canoeing Championship, athlete Mac Thi Thanh Thuy from Quy Hop (Nghe An) won 2 Gold Medals.
It is known that Mac Thi Thanh Thuy (born 2007) is an outstanding Vietnamese athlete in Canoeing, currently studying and training at the Gia River Boat Racing Club, Minh Duc, Thuy Nguyen, Hai Phong city.

Born and raised in Nam Son commune, Quy Hop mountainous district (Nghe An), Thanh Thuy soon revealed her talent, passion for rowing and her professional competition career from a very young age. In 2021, while studying in grade 7 at Chau Ly Secondary School (Quy Hop), when the coaches of the Gia River Boat Racing Club came to the locality to recruit talented athletes, Thanh Thuy with good physical strength, playing soccer, running, jumping... was selected and quickly became one of the best athletes of the national Canoeing team.
After 3 years of training, Thanh Thuy has now made her mark in the Vietnamese rowing community with 10 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Medals and 7 Bronze Medals at many national and international tournaments.

In particular, at the 2024 Asian Youth and U23 Canoeing Championship (from June 14 to 16) held in Thailand, Mac Thi Thanh Thuy and her teammate Diep Thi Thuy won 2 Gold Medals in the events: Women's pair C2 200m with a time of 47 seconds and Women's pair C2 500m with a time of 2 minutes 05 seconds 16.
