TH School Vinh: Inspiring, giving wings to dreams
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 5, TH School Vinh students had a new school year. This is the second school year that TH School Vinh has coordinated and linked facilities with Huynh Thuc Khang High School, achieving the goal of bringing international standard programs to public schools nationwide.
Inspire
This is also the second year that Nguyen Hien Anh, a 10B student at TH School, has been able to welcome the new school year with her friends in the "common home" of TH School Vinh.
As a student of Phuong Hoang High Quality School, Hien Anh decided to study at TH School from the first year this school opened a facility in Vinh city. After 1 year of studying in an international, professional environment, her knowledge as well as her ability to communicate and understand English have improved significantly. Through exchange forms, the school also helps students to have the ability to choose and make the right direction for themselves. Hien Anh plans to seek scholarships and study abroad in Australia after completing the high school program at TH School.
“After being equipped with knowledge and other life skills, I believe I am confident enough to study abroad alone,” Hien Anh shared.

Guiding her son to choose to study at TH School was a decision that was opposed by many people at that time by Ms. Vu Thi Kim Thanh, a lecturer at Vinh University of Technical Education. With a score of 8.0 in the IELTS certificate exam in the summer of grade 7, Luu Cong Tuan Kiet (currently a student of grade 11V at TH School Vinh) was qualified to study at many other schools.
Talking about that decision, Ms. Thanh shared: I discussed with my child about studying at TH School with the desire for him to study in a professional environment, to freely develop his own abilities in a fair and transparent manner according to international standards. After 1 year, what Ms. Thanh considers the biggest "harvest" is that his child is increasingly clear, coherent and honest in thinking; through participating in clubs and extracurricular activities that are organized regularly, he is active, confident, and equipped with necessary skills such as teamwork skills, public speaking skills, and knowing how to share...

Kiet won a high prize in the World Scholar's Cup in Da Nang and won 1 Cup, 6 Gold Medals, 5 Silver Medals; participated in the International round of the World Scholar's Cup in Bangkok, won a Gold Medal. Kiet also participated and excelled with his friends who won the Voice Up speech contest, participated in the NSDC National Debate Tournament. And studying abroad in the US is the future path that Luu Cong Tuan Kiet and his family have set a goal to strive for. After his brother, Kiet's younger sister Luu Thi My Uyen, who was a student majoring in English at Dang Thai Mai Secondary School, also entered Vinh TH School, with her dream, passion and direction for the future clearly defined.
This year, TH School Vinh continues to enroll students in grades 8, 9, and 10 to study the IGCSE international high school program. When continuing the program from grade 11 to grade 12, students will receive an A-Levels diploma that is valued globally and can confidently win many scholarships at top universities.
Where dreams take flight
The curriculum at TH School Vinh campus is currently following the 80-20 model, in which 80% of students' time is spent studying the Cambridge international program, and the remaining 20% focuses on Vietnamese studies taught using modern methods and fresh languages, helping students easily acquire comprehensive knowledge of Vietnamese history and culture, and arousing national pride. This is considered an educational method aimed at inspiring students, aiming to create a generation of leaders.

During the school's first year, many students won high prizes in speech and debate competitions, especially the Gold Medal at the World Scholar Cup in Bangkok.
In addition to being given the opportunity to access an advanced educational program along with many interesting cultural activities, in a dynamic and open learning environment, outside of class time, TH School students will often proactively seek out more information about the lesson to better understand and grasp the knowledge. In particular, because the curriculum is written in English, students are required to be truly proactive and learn to understand the lesson.

Currently a student at the Diplomatic Academy, Thanh Mai, a former student of TH School, shared at the opening ceremony of TH School that she is proud to have studied at this school - the school that gave her a lot of extremely useful knowledge and life skills.

Originally from Chiem Hoa district, Tuyen Quang, Thanh Mai left her hometown for Hanoi in the 9th grade to study at TH School. Originally living in a small town with no English center, although she tried to learn through online programs and had good listening and reading skills, the first semester at TH was really difficult for Mai in both communication and writing, because here, the subjects and activities all required English as well as independent thinking. By seeking help from teachers and learning from friends, these difficulties were no longer barriers but became motivation for her to try harder every day, to achieve the success she has today.
“For the students of TH School Vinh and Huynh Thuc Khang High School, I think you are very lucky to study in a dynamic environment, rich in the tradition of learning, with a team of extremely dedicated teachers. So I hope that you will try your best to achieve your goals and not let down your teachers and family,” Thanh Mai, a former student of TH School, shared.
“Never stop reaching out”
With the desire to build a perfect, comprehensive educational foundation, focusing on the comprehensive development of students from physical strength, intelligence and spirit, TH School creates an international standard learning environment and imparts the quintessence of Vietnamese culture to "future young leaders" around the world. In the new school year, TH School welcomes students from 20 countries, bringing the total number of "nationalities" of the student community to nearly 30, including many new students from Korea, the US, Russia and India.

“I believe that by being attached to and growing up in an environment that promotes effort, and being given maximum conditions for comprehensive development: Mental strength - physical strength - intelligence, each TH School student will be further motivated to promote their inherent strengths, establish a responsible future path with the desire to assert themselves, and become a better version of themselves”, Labor Hero Thai Huong - Founder of TH School System shared.
TH School also attracts outstanding individuals, talented and dedicated educators. The school's teaching staff has an average of 12 years of teaching experience, coming from 15 countries around the world. Overcoming language barriers and cultural differences, the teachers and staff of the entire school always work towards a single goal: All for the beloved students!
Not only stopping at providing an international standard curriculum, after many years of journey with the desire to demonstrate TH School's commitment to promoting an excellent learning environment, on July 18, the school's Chua Boc campus was certified by the Accreditation Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC) to meet international accreditation standards for all levels from kindergarten (PreK/KG) to grade 12.

Certification from WASC, one of the oldest and most highly regarded accreditation bodies in the world, is a guarantee of trust in the quality of education at TH School, as only 19 schools in Vietnam are accredited. Graduating from a WASC-accredited school will give TH School students many advantages in their studies and careers, including prestige in academic qualifications and higher international study opportunities thanks to the extensive global network of WASC members.
“In the 2023-2024 school year, the school has also prepared a plan for the goal of reaching out. The school will continue to expand cooperative relationships, seek new opportunities for students to gain more experiences, and raise the quality of teaching and learning activities to new heights,” said Mr. Stephen West, General Principal of TH School System.
