Thai Hoa aims to become a type 3 urban area by 2020
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 11, during the discussion to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Thai Hoa town (May 10, 2008 - May 10, 2018), pre-uprising cadres and key leaders in the area through the periods together reviewed the results and limitations in the past time.

On May 10, 2008, Thai Hoa town was announced to be established under Decree 164/2007/ND-CP of the Government with a total natural area of over 13,514 hectares and a population of 66,000 people. After 10 years of establishment, the young town on the Hieu River has really changed a lot, with synchronous investment in infrastructure.
From 2008 to present, Thai Hoa has attracted about 50 investment projects with a total registered and implemented capital of about 2,200 billion VND. The economic structure of the young town is shifting towards gradually reducing the proportion of agriculture, forestry and fishery and gradually increasing the proportion of the service sector.

By 2015, all 6 communes met the new rural standards with 19 criteria, Thai Hoa town became the first district-level unit of Nghe An province and the North Central region to meet the new rural standards. Average income per capita increased from 14 million VND in 2008 to 37 million VND in 2017.
The overall quality of education remains stable in the top 10 of the province, 30/30 schools under the management of the town meet national standards level 1 and level 2. 100% of communes and wards meet national standards on health in the period 2015-2020. The poverty rate has decreased rapidly, from 9.1% in 2008 (according to the old standard) to 2.2% (according to the new standard) in 2017, the second lowest in the province.
With the efforts and achievements over the past 10 years, Thai Hoa town has received many titles and awards from the Party, State, Government and province.
At the seminar, delegates expressed their excitement at the results that Thai Hoa has achieved in the past 10 years. At the same time, they expressed their hope that in the coming time, the core cadres of Thai Hoa will continue to promote consensus, arouse the combined strength of the people to make Thai Hoa a type 3 urban area by 2020./.
