Previously, a video clip was shared on social media about a pairing between two children on the walking street with offensive elements, causing public outrage and anger. After that, information appeared that Vinh City walking street would stop the pairing program from the evening of June 25.

Regarding this information, Mr. Hoang Anh Tien - Head of the Vinh City Walking Street Management Board confirmed that the video clip of "pairing" two children that caused public outrage occurred on Vinh City Walking Street on the evening of June 24. After the above unfortunate incident, the city's functional forces will strengthen the management of pairing activities, tighten regulations and requirements for groups registering for activity programs.

Vinh walking streetopened on April 8, operating from 7pm to 11:30pm every Friday and Saturday. Currently, cultural, artistic and entertainment activities on Vinh City walking street are in the testing phase.

According to a report from Vinh City People's Committee, each night the activities on the walking street attract about 15,000 people to visit and experience.

After nearly 3 months of operation, besides the achieved results, there are still certain limitations such as some residents and businesses have not complied with environmental sanitation work; some entertainment activities are spontaneous, organized in the middle of the street, affecting the walking street space.

In addition, the infrastructure is not yet guaranteed, so traditional music performances have not taken place regularly; there is no mechanism to support overtime work to encourage members of the Walking Street Management Board, staff of the Center for Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as support drinking water for performing forces of wards and communes mobilized to participate in the walking street...

The recreational, cultural and artistic activities on the walking street are in the testing phase, and we are learning as we go, so it is inevitable that there will be mistakes and unfortunate incidents. Immediately after this incident, we will require the activity groups to sign a commitment, control the content and location of the activities of the paired groups, and only issue activity cards to groups that meet the requirements.

The city as well as departments, offices and functional forces will make timely adjustments and strengthen management so that activities on the walking street take place in a lively and attractive manner, attracting tourists on the basis of ensuring civilization, politeness and conformity to traditional customs and traditions.
