Vinh City will withdraw nearly 50% of stalls at Cao Thang night street

After a temporary break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Cao Thang night street officially resumed operations on May 20. However, according to the reporter's records, there were evenings when some stalls, although registered, did not operate, causing the night street to lose customers, creating a gap between stalls.

According to the reporter's records, the absent households are mainly concentrated on the road from Tran Phu to Nguyen Xien, where clothing, shoes, leather goods are sold... The remaining road from Nguyen Xien to Hong Son street, where food and beverage stalls are concentrated, still maintains a certain number of traders and customers.

To resolve this situation, Vinh City People's Committee has sent functional forces to coordinate with Vinh Market Management Board to inspect and review registered businesses that are not operating at the night street to take appropriate action.

According to preliminary statistics, nearly 50% of the stalls at Cao Thang night street are often absent and have intermittent business. Previously, Vinh City had promoted and reminded, but these households, for various reasons, did not come out to sell.

According to research, some stall owners even speculate and make illegal profits. Even though they register their business, they rent it out to others to collect monthly fees.

Through discussion, Vinh City leaders said: We are checking and reviewing this issue. The city will resolutely revoke the registration of households that have registered but are not doing business to create favorable conditions for other households. This will help the night street operate continuously, and the products will be more diverse and abundant in the future./.
