Vinh City won almost all the gold medals in swimming at the Provincial Sports Festival.

Swimming has 15 sets of medals. On the first day, the Organizing Committee competed in 8 events. Of which, Vinh city won 4 Gold medals; 5 Silver medals; 2 Bronze medals, temporarily leading. Right behind was Quynh Luu unit when winning 3 Gold medals, 1 Silver medal, 1 Bronze medal.

On the final day of swimming competition, there were 7 events held including: 4x50m relay for men; 100m breaststroke for men and women; 50m backstroke for men and women; 100m freestyle for men and women.

Vinh City is a unit with a balanced force, both young and experienced, is in high form and has athletes participating in almost every event.

These include swimmers Le Thi Vinh, Vo Huy Hoang, Tran Ngoc Quan... Among them, Le Thi Vinh is an experienced athlete, having competed for many years in major tournaments in and outside the province. In particular, she has participated in 3 Provincial Sports Festivals and achieved high results in all of them. Participating in this festival, Le Thi Vinh also won 2 Gold Medals in the women's 50m freestyle and women's 100m freestyle.

Entering the 100m freestyle swimming event on August 15, Le Thi Vinh excellently finished first with a time of 1 minute, 17 seconds, 240. Her average speed throughout the race was 4.675 km/h.

In addition to the Gold Medal of Le Thi Vinh, the remaining 4 swimmers also won similar achievements for Vinh city: Vo Huy Hoang - Men's 50m backstroke; Nguyen Bao Khanh - Women's 100m breaststroke; Vo Phan Quynh Giang - Women's 50m backstroke; Tran Ngoc Quan - Men's 100m freestyle;

Thus, after 2 days of swimming competition, Vinh city has excellently won 9 Gold medals; 7 Silver medals; 5 Bronze medals, ranking first on the overall swimming medal table.

Although Quynh Luu tried very hard, but faced with the overwhelming strength of the swimmers from Vinh city, they only won 1 Gold Medal in the men's 100m breaststroke on the final day of competition. In the end, they won 4 Gold Medals; 1 Silver Medal; 2 Bronze Medals, ranking second in the overall swimming medal table.

Also on this day, Thai Hoa town excelled in winning 1 Gold Medal in the 4x50m relay event. This is the only mountainous district to win a Gold Medal in swimming.
