Vinh City and VNPT agree to cooperate in implementing smart urban areas
(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Tran Ngoc Tu, Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee, said that Vinh City is cooperating with VNPT Group to deploy smart cities in a number of fields.
According to the cooperation agreement, VNPTBased on the project development for Nghe An province, VNPT Group prioritizes cooperation in developing a master plan and phased implementation plans in each field.
Implement or pilot IT application solutions in the project's fields and those arising during the project implementation process such as: digital government, tourism, transportation, healthcare, education, land, public security, urban planning, agriculture, etc. to solve the problems of Vinh city; Ensure telecommunications - information technology infrastructure for ICT applications of smart cities for Vinh city;Deploying the contents and solutions that are the strengths of VNPT Group and VNPT Group's partners in accordance with the architectural framework of smart cities, on the basis of updating and inheriting deployed IT products.

VNPT also helps Vinh city find major domestic and foreign partners and use modern technologies, in the direction of an open creative ecosystem to build Vinh city into a smart city on the basis of an overall architectural framework.
Participate in consulting, surveying, and evaluating implementation effectiveness when Vinh City requests, arrange experienced experts to implement cooperation contents; arrange ICT infrastructure resources and necessary human resources for implementation. Provide telecommunications and information technology products and services to Vinh City People's Committee when requested.
The two sides also built a cooperation method, according to which the two sides and Vinh City People's Committee created favorable conditions for VNPT Group to coordinate in implementing tasks of deploying telecommunications - IT applications to serve the development of smart cities in Vinh City.
In the immediate future, VNPT will support Vinh city with paperless meeting room software, urban order management software, and a food safety information portal.
