(Baonghean.vn) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the Ministry of Planning and Investment to grasp the situation, advise on timely and effective policies, contributing to building an independent and self-reliant economy, associated with proactive and active international integration, deeply, substantially and effectively.
On the morning of January 4, the Ministry of Planning and Investment held an online conference to review the work in 2022 and deploy tasks for 2023. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and directed the conference. Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung chaired the conference.

With the function of an advisory and synthesis agency on socio-economic issues, in 2022, the Ministry of Planning and Investment proactively advised and proposed solutions, mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties, promote production and business, accelerate disbursement of public investment capital, ensure social security, develop growth scenarios, seize recovery opportunities and create new momentum for the country's economic development.

In addition, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has promptly researched, monitored, evaluated and closely forecasted the situation in order to actively advise the Government and the Prime Minister on appropriate development scenarios as well as timely response solutions, minimizing negative impacts and achieving dual goals in economic and social development.
The solutions proposed by the Ministry of Planning and Investment are all strong, focused, in-depth and flexible, suitable for short-term and medium-term requirements to promote public investment disbursement, regional connectivity, digital transformation, innovation, and business development. Thereby, promoting economic growth towards green growth and sustainable development associated with the global green recovery process.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment has also done a good job of advising the Government and the Prime Minister to research and implement measures to continue attracting high-quality FDI capital flows; promote the improvement of the investment and business environment to create favorable conditions; continue to preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches and localities to research and specify policies to promote new economic models and requirements for sustainable development after Covid-19.
Timely advise on solutions, mechanisms and policies to contribute to stabilizing the macro economy, controlling inflation, ensuring social security, removing difficulties, promoting production and business, promoting disbursement of public investment capital, and taking full advantage of opportunities to restore and develop the economy.
Entering 2023, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has identified 16 key task groups and strives to maximize the positive aspects and results achieved in recent years and urgently, resolutely and persistently overcome limitations and shortcomings, determined to make efforts to exceed the assigned goals and tasks.
PERFORM ASSIGNED TASKS BETTER, FASTER
Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the role and importance of the Planning and Investment sector in the country's development process, especially in the renovation period. The Ministry of Planning and Investment has made very important contributions to the country's overall socio-economic development achievements in 2022.

The Prime Minister emphasized that in 2022, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has grasped the situation, provided strategic advice on the socio-economic recovery and development program; issues related to enterprises; implemented the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress on regional connectivity; cut nearly 5,000 projects, and limited dispersion in public investment.
The Ministry has also performed well its role as the leading agency in foreign affairs with Laos; oriented public investment in the right direction, mobilizing non-state resources; creating development, innovation, digital transformation...

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that to achieve the above results, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has proactively and actively implemented the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the Politburo, the National Assembly, and the Government; the solidarity, unity, responsibility, and management capacity of the Ministry's leaders; and the smooth coordination with ministries, branches, and localities. On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister commended the achievements of the Planning and Investment sector in 2022.
Regarding the 2023 task, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Ministry of Planning and Investment must advise on the implementation of tasks to maintain macroeconomic stability, control inflation, achieve growth, and ensure major balances. To do so, the Ministry must grasp the domestic and foreign situation, based on the actual situation of the country, to advise on timely and effective policies. Contribute to building an independent and self-reliant economy, associated with proactive and active international integration, deep, substantial, and effective.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Planning and Investment needs to continue to advise on institutionalization and effective implementation, remove legal obstacles; promote innovation, apply science and technology, link with new economies, contribute to achieving the target of increasing overall labor productivity; create a transparent business environment, mobilize internal strength from within and external strength from outside, and strengthen public-private cooperation.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also requested the Ministry of Planning and Investment to allocate state resources appropriately and effectively, avoiding dispersion; strengthen digital transformation, improve the efficiency of statistical work, and promote communication work; fulfill the task of being the intergovernmental focal point between Vietnam and Laos; proactively and actively coordinate closely with central departments and branches to well perform assigned tasks...
