Prime Minister: Do not make mistakes due to subjectivity in the context of Covid-19 re-infection in some countries
On the afternoon of April 6, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired a meeting of the Government Standing Committee on Covid-19 prevention and control as social distancing entered its sixth day.

Directives No. 15 and 16 have changed people's lives. The Prime Minister pointed out that at this stage, people's compliance is the most important factor. And in the past time, people have complied well, thanks to which the epidemic prevention work has achieved some positive results.
Regarding the continuation of the above Directives, the Prime Minister emphasized what the new solutions are in the current period. From now until April 15, it is necessary to continue focusing on implementing the proposed solutions, not being subjective, not making mistakes due to subjectivity and disregard, especially when re-infection occurs in some places in the world.
According to the report of the National Steering Committee, the world recorded more than 1.23 million infections in 210 countries and territories, with nearly 70,000 deaths.
In Vietnam (as of 12 noon today), 241 cases have been recorded, with 150 people from foreign outbreaks (accounting for over 62% of the total number of infected people) and 91 people with secondary infections. 91/241 cases have recovered. 4 seriously ill patients are progressing well.

Regarding the cluster of cases at Bach Mai Hospital, as of April 5, 2020, 8,683 SARS-CoV-2 virus tests have been performed, of which 8,652 samples were negative, 22 positive samples were announced, mainly from Truong Sinh Company. 52,239 people were screened. Localities have quarantined and controlled all people coming to Bach Mai Hospital.
Regarding the cluster of cases at Buddha Bar, 4,397 people have been tested, of which 18 cases were positive. Up to now, 222 people who had close contact with the positive cases are being quarantined and monitored. Regarding patient number 237 (Swedish), 455 cases have been screened and quarantined; 101 medical staff who had contact with the patient were sampled and tested. The test results showed that all 101 samples of medical staff were negative (first time).
Assessing the epidemic situation in Vietnam, the National Steering Committee said that in the past 2 weeks, the number of Covid-19 cases has doubled from 121 (March 23) to 241 (April 5). During the same period, the number of cases in the world has increased nearly 4 times from 341,632 (March 23) to 1,273,709 (April 5). Vietnam currently has no deaths while in the world, in the past 2 weeks, the number of deaths due to Covid-19 has increased nearly 5 times.
Vietnam currently ranks 98th among 210 countries and territories that have recorded Covid-19 cases. The majority of cases recorded in Vietnam are imported cases with 62.9%, of which 77.5% were quarantined immediately after entry and 22.5% were detected in the community. Vietnam is controlling the epidemic situation well by thoroughly implementing quarantine measures, managing cases returning from abroad, first- and second-round contacts, and applying social distancing measures.
