Prime Minister leaves for ASEM 12, P4G and visits several European countries

On the morning of October 14, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his wife led a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to Vienna, Austria, to attend the 12th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit, the Partnership for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit, and pay official visits to Austria, Belgium, Denmark, and a working visit to the European Union from October 14-21.

The working visit to Europe was at the invitation of President of the European Council Donald Tusk, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, Prime Minister of the Republic of Austria Sebastian Kurz, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium Charles Michel, and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Denmark Lars Løkke Rasmussen.

Accompanying Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his wife Tran Nguyet Thu were Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh; Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong; and Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien.

Also joining the delegation were Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son; Deputy Minister of Public Security Bui Van Nam, Vietnamese Ambassador to Austria Le Dung and leaders of a number of ministries, branches and localities.

The Prime Minister's working trip to Europe aims to create important highlights and driving forces to promote bilateral relations in Europe, promote and elevate multilateral diplomacy, contribute to building and shaping multilateral institutions, and effectively participate in and contribute to solving global challenges at multilateral organizations.
