(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 23, during his working program in Nghe An, Comrade Pham Minh Chinh - Politburo member, Prime Minister and his delegation visited the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site (Nam Dan) to offer flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh.

Accompanying him were comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; comrades of the Party Central Committee: Ho Duc Phoc - Minister of Finance; Nguyen Van Hung - Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien - Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense; and leaders of a number of ministries and branches.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and leaders of a number of departments, branches and localities.

Next, the Prime Minister and the delegation visited and offered flowers and incense at Truong Bon National Historical Site, My Son Commune, Do Luong District; commemorating 1,240 officers and soldiers who heroically fought and sacrificed on this land during the resistance war against the US to save the country, including 13 youth volunteers from the 317th Youth Volunteer Company, Team 65, the General Youth Volunteer Team against the US to save the country in Nghe An Province who sacrificed heroically on October 31, 1968.

During the resistance war against the US, Truong Bon was an important traffic artery for transporting human resources and supplies to the southern battlefield. The US Air Force dropped nearly 19,000 bombs of various types and tens of thousands of missiles on Truong Bon to cut off our traffic artery, turning this place into a "fire coordinate".
