Present at the house under construction of Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai in Quyet Thang block, Hoa Hieu ward, Thai Hoa town, the house has been under construction for more than a week, and has been granted a construction permit right under the 10kV power line. According to regulations, Mr. Hai's house must be built 2m from the outer edge of the power line. However, the entire power line has run through the roof. Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai said: "The truth is I did not know, when I went to the ward to ask for a house construction permit, no one mentioned the issue of power grid safety. If I had known in advance, I would have just moved the house foundation a little bit back to avoid it."

Phong Coffee Shop in Quang Trung Block, Quang Tien Ward was built right under the power grid. Due to the owner's negligence, the roof of the upper floor of the house is less than 1 meter away from the 10kV power line. Daily activities and business activities still take place right under the dangling trap that death is setting. When asked about information about the power grid safety corridor, Mr. Nguyen Duc, the owner of this coffee shop, shared: "I know it is dangerous, but due to lack of business premises, I took the risk. The distance from the roof to the power line is not dangerous yet" (?)

Currently, most of the high-voltage power grids in Thai Hoa pass through residential areas, so it is difficult to avoid violations of the high-voltage power grid safety corridor. In addition, the licensing of housing and construction works is not strict, leading to violations in construction and expansion of houses, auxiliary works, and planting of perennial trees. In addition, the propaganda work on protecting the high-voltage power grid safety corridor is not strong and extensive, people's awareness and understanding of the power grid safety corridor is still limited, so violations among the people are quite common. In the past time, Thai Hoa Power Company has made many efforts to protect the power grid safety corridor, such as: regularly cutting and clearing trees encroaching on the power grid corridor; conducting inspections and making records of 65 cases of violations...

Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong - Deputy Director of Thai Hoa Electricity, said: "In the coming time, we will continue to strengthen coordination with local authorities to propagate the content of Decree 106 of the Government on protecting power grid corridors, and strengthen propaganda for people to understand the harmful effects of violating power grid safety corridors. Regarding the force of cadres and workers of the electricity industry, we regularly inspect, detect violations for handling."

Thai Hoa Electricity Industry is currently managing 150 km of medium voltage lines and 530 km of low voltage lines. In the first quarter of 2013, there were 7 power outages, of which 5 were due to violations of the grid safety corridor. For a long time, many people still believe that protecting the grid corridor is the sole responsibility of the electricity industry. Therefore, in the coming time, it is necessary to have the coordination of local authorities at all levels to inspect and review the violations to have measures to minimize violations of the grid safety corridor in Thai Hoa Town.
