According to the orientation approved in July 2021 by the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Thai Hoa town will focus on development, becoming a type III urban area under the province by 2025, promoting socio-economic development, connecting the western mountainous provinces of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa and being a gateway for trade with Laos through the border gates of Nam Can, Thanh Thuy, and Tam Hop.
According to the market, land prices in this area have increased significantly, approaching those of central cities; for example, the Thai Hoa 5-way intersection has a price of up to 120 million/m2; Nguyen Trai Street is approximately 100 million/m2; Le Hong Phong Street from Thai Hoa 5-way intersection to Hung Vuong intersection ranges from 60 - 100 million/m2; Tran Hung Dao - Phan Boi Chau intersection area has a price of 40 - 70 million/m2; along Hung Vuong Avenue ranges from 40 - 100 million/m2.
