State Auditor General gives savings books to poor students in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 2, comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, State Auditor General presented savings books to 4 poor students with good academic achievements.
The four students who received savings books were Nguyen Thi Hoa - National Academy of Public Administration and three students Ho Thi Tham, Ho Duc Tam, and Pham Hong Phu in Quynh Luu and Hoang Mai Town.

Nguyen Thi Hoa is a student of class 12C4, Nguyen Sy Sach High School, in hamlet 9, Xuan Tuong commune, Thanh Chuong district. She lost her parents at a young age. Hoa and her younger brother live with their 74-year-old grandmother. Although living in difficult conditions, during her 3 years of high school, Hoa was an excellent student in all aspects. In the recent National High School Exam, she got a total score of 25.75, ranking first in block C of the school, including 8 points in Literature, 8.5 points in History, 9.25 points in Geography. She registered and achieved her wish to enter the National Academy of Public Administration. However, her family is poor, so to have money to go to university, she had to go to Vinh City to work for money.

Ho Thi Tham in Hamlet 8, Quynh Tam Commune, Quynh Luu District has a different situation. The mother and daughter live together in a dilapidated house of only 8 square meters. The mother's health is unstable and her nerves are affected, but she still strives to become an excellent student for 9 consecutive years. In the recent high school entrance exam, Tham passed the entrance exam to Quynh Luu IV High School. However, because she did not have money to pay tuition, her mother decided to let Tham drop out of school.
Ms. Ho Thi Toan in Hamlet 4, Quynh Hong Commune, Quynh Luu District has Parkinson's disease (shaking paralysis) in the final stage, losing the ability to move, so her son, Ho Duc Tam (15 years old), has had to drop out of school for 2 years now. Tam dreams of going to vocational school to earn a living and have money to treat his mother, but both mother and son have no other income besides the social assistance.
Pham Hong Phu (born in 2010) from village 1, Quynh Vinh commune, Hoang Mai town was born with congenital cataracts. His parents borrowed money to take Phu to Hanoi for surgery to replace the cataract, but his eyes were still not as clear as normal people's. However, Phu always wanted to go to school to learn.
In recent years, since holding the position of Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, comrade Ho Duc Phoc has always cared for and given gifts to students in difficult circumstances from royalties from articles published in Nghe An Newspaper. Up to now, he has given nearly 70 savings books, each worth from 5 to 10 million VND to poor students overcoming difficulties to encourage them to enter the new school year and realize their dream of entering university.
