Currently, workers of Vinh City Green Park Joint Stock Company are focusing on checking, reviewing and pruning trees on the streets, focusing on major streets with many old trees such as Truong Thi, Ha Huy Tap, Nguyen Sy Sach, Le Hong Phong, Le Mao...
According to statistics, by the end of August 9, Vinh City had directed the trimming of 2,902/3,478 trees of all kinds on 50 streets, mainly cutting down large, luxuriant branches to prevent them from falling during heavy rains and strong winds. Trees over 20 meters tall will be lowered. The remaining trees will be urgently completed in the coming days.
Pruning trees before the rainy season is very necessary. Previously, on the evening of August 8, heavy rain and wind caused trees on Le Mao Street to fall, damaging cars parked on the side of the road. Last July, a tree at Nguyen Tat Thanh Park, Truong Thi Ward, was uprooted and fell on an old man, killing him. During the rainy season, uprooted and broken trees often occur in the city.
