Vinh City: Many markets do not have forces to control people entering and exiting.

July 3,Vinh City People's Committeehas Official Dispatch No. 4371/UBND-KT on the implementation of Plan No. 139/KH-UBND dated July 3, 2021 of Vinh City People's Committee. Accordingly, for traditional markets, Vinh City clearly directs: Minimize the opening of market entrances and exits, do not open more than 5 doors,must arrange forcesto block and require 100% of people entering and participating in activities in the market area to strictly follow regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control.

However, according to the reporter's observations on the morning of July 11, many markets are still subjective and negligent, especially in not arranging forces to be on duty to control people entering and exiting.

At Phong Toan market, Ha Huy Tap ward, except for the main gate of the market which is still closed, almost all the entrances to the market are open, making it easy for people and traders to enter and trade. Of the 5 entrances surrounding the market, only 1 is equipped with a hand sanitizer table, all the gates are empty of staff on duty.

At Quyet market, Ben Thuy ward andTruong Thi new market, Truong Thi ward, both have 2 entrances to the market, the number of buyers and sellers is quite crowded, however, the entrances are not equipped with hand sanitizer tables nor arranged with forces to control people entering and exiting.

At Hung Dung market, most of the entrances and exits of the market have been opened, the number of buyers and sellers inside and outside the market is very crowded. In particular, outside the market area, there are dozens of small traders occupying the sidewalks and roadsides as business and trading points, attracting a large crowd, causing traffic jams andpotential risk of spreading the diseasedisease, however there was no functional force to handle this situation on the morning of July 11.

Traditional markets are special areas with a bustling flow of buyers and sellers, of which Vinh City wholesale market is the largest epidemic hotbed in Nghe An province. In addition, other markets in Vinh City such as Cua Bac market, Quang Trung market, and Vinh Railway Station market have all had F0s coming to buy and sell. Therefore, strictly controlling people entering and exiting and strictly implementing epidemic prevention measures at markets is important to prevent the spread of the disease./.
