Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Khanh - Chairman of Hung Dung Ward People's Committee said: Through review and inspection, there are currently dozens of dense green trees in the ward, potentially falling and uprooting if there is heavy rain and wind at locations such as Hung Dung market area, Hung Dung 1 Kindergarten gate, Hung Dung 2 Primary School gate, Nguyen Gia Thieu and Nguyen Viet Xuan streets...
Not only Hung Dung ward but also other localities such as Quan Bau, Quang Trung, Doi Cung, Hung Dong... have also sent documents to the city government to implement tree pruning before the storm hits in recent days.
Faced with that situation, Vinh City has directed the Green Park Joint Stock Company to organize inspections and reviews on the roads to promptly handle recommendations from localities.
A representative of the Green Park Joint Stock Company said: Before the storm season, the unit had simultaneously pruned trees on the entire street. Specifically, the unit cleared 1,300 trees, pruned 3,478 trees and liquidated 74 trees. In the past few days, after receiving petitions from the locality, the unit mobilized 3 cranes, leaf-sweeping dump trucks and 40 workers to spread out to trim more dense trees that were at risk of falling, expected to be completed today, September 27.

In fact, during the rainy season, the falling of trees in Vinh City is very common, affecting traffic and people's lives. Last August, heavy rain and wind caused trees on Le Mao Street to fall, damaging cars parked on the side of the road. Or in July, a tree in Nguyen Tat Thanh Park, Truong Thi Ward was uprooted, crushing an old man, killing him. Therefore, pruning trees is an urgent task that needs to be carried out before heavy rain and storms.
