According to records, after the "red light allowed to go straight" sign was installed, traffic at these points has been smoothed out and congestion has significantly reduced.
However, some opinions say that the fact that vehicles are still allowed to go straight, while pedestrians are also allowed to cross the street at the same time when the light is red, makes pedestrians feel worried and insecure, especially during rush hours such as early morning or afternoon.
After many comments and feedback,Vinh CityTraffic light systems in these two areas will be upgraded to both reduce congestion and ensure pedestrian safety.

Specifically, the city will replace the light controller, adjust the red light signal to green light to keep traffic flowing, and avoid the situation where many people do not read the signs and still stop at red lights, making it impossible for the vehicles behind to move as in the past.
On some special occasions, whenSquareHo Chi Minh City opens, authorities will adjust red light signals to serve major events.
In addition, the city will replace the "Go straight on red light" sign with the "Pay attention, give way to pedestrians" sign so that drivers are careful and slow down when passing through here.

These are 2 light clusters that have been installed for a long time, however, completely replacing them will require a large amount of money, long construction time, and affect thetrafficat these points. Therefore, upgrading the old lighting system is necessary, both to save money and to help traffic in these areas be smooth and safe.
It is expected that in early April 2021, the city will renovate these two light clusters.
