Vinh City: Another primary school class stops in-person classes due to a student infected with Covid-19
(Baonghean.vn) - All students of class 2B, Hung Chinh Primary School, Vinh City had to stop studying directly at school and switch to online learning due to a student infected with Covid-19.
On the morning of January 17, Nghe An recorded 51 new Covid-19 infections, including 6 community cases, of which Vinh City had 4 cases. Notably, there was 1 community case, a student in Hung Chinh Commune, Vinh City.
Specifically, the patient is VNM, male, born in 2014. Address: Hamlet 4, Hung Chinh Commune, Vinh City. On January 16, the patient felt tired and had a sore throat, so his family took him to Thai An Hospital for examination and the rapid test result was positive. The patient is currently a student in class 2B, SchoolHung Chinh Primary School.
Hung Chinh Commune authorities said that immediately after receiving the test results, Hung Chinh Commune took samples of all students in the class and the homeroom teacher, a total of 39 people. The current difficulty is that the source of infection of this case has not been determined.

In addition to taking samples, Hung Chinh commune also directed the school to stop direct learning for class 2B and switch to online learning from January 17. Students in home isolation must ensure epidemic prevention requirements and have their samples taken for testing 3 times a week. Parents should closely monitor their children's isolation and learning at home. If there are signs of illness, they must immediately contact a medical facility for timely treatment.
Initial tracing results have identified 16 F1s of the patient, including 11 students in the class who were in close contact (sitting next to the infected student's desk) and the homeroom teacher. The remaining F1s are family members. It is known that except for class 2B, other classes at the school are still studying normally and are not allowed to gather during recess.
For the remaining 3 community Covid infections in the areaVinh City, the authorities of wards and communes have also quarantined households with F0 cases, and focused on tracing F1 cases according to regulations./.
