Unexpected rewards for 2 major drug cases

To promptly encourage and commend the Ky Son District Police for their outstanding achievements in eliminating two drug trafficking and illegal possession rings, Colonel Le Xuan Hoai - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department presented an unexpected reward to the task force.

Within 2 weeks, Ky Son District Police have dismantled 02 drug trafficking and illegal storage lines, seized 22 heroin cakes, 22 kg of crystal meth, 19,400 pills and 04 kg of synthetic drugs. This is an outstanding achievement and feat of the Ky Son District Police in the fight against drug crimes in the area and is also one of the special cases with an especially large amount of seized drugs in Nghe An province in recent times.

Specifically, at 9:00 p.m. on May 9, 2020, in Chieu Luu commune, Ky Son district police coordinated with Chieu Luu commune police to arrest 3 subjects: Hoang Van Hai (born in 1990); Trang A Vu (born in 1992) and Thao A Su (born in 1992), all residing in Nam Dam village, Cao Tan commune, Pac Nam district, Bac Kan province, for illegally transporting drugs. At the scene, the police seized 20 kg of crystal meth, 20 heroin bars, 4 kg of ketamine and 4 mobile phones.

On May 22, 2020, Ky Son District Police continued to successfully break the second case, arresting 01 subject, seizing 02 heroin cakes, 02 kg of crystal meth, 19,400 synthetic drug pills, 01 mobile phone, 01 motorbike and many other exhibits and documents related to drug trafficking.

At the award ceremony, Colonel Le Xuan Hoai - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department commended and highly appreciated the efforts of the leadership and officers of Ky Son District Police in quickly investigating, clarifying and arresting the subjects in the two special cases, and at the same time hoped that Ky Son District Police would continue to synchronously and resolutely deploy solutions to fight against drug crimes, not allowing them to develop in a complicated manner; urgently coordinate to expand investigations, consolidate evidence, and soon bring the subjects in the two special cases to justice./.
