(Baonghean.vn) - Having only known Vi Van T. on Facebook for 3 days, LTNY, a resident of Tuong Duong district, took a bus to Con Cuong to hang out with her boyfriend. The young girl also did not contact her family, making her parents very worried.

On August 8, Captain Lay Van Thin - Chief of Police of Mon Son Commune, Con Cuong District, said that he had just handed over a 14-year-old female student to her family after many days of running away from home and being unable to contact her.

Previously, on August 7, 2020, the Mon Son Commune Police Department organized a patrol to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic and illegal immigrants in the border commune of Mon Son and discovered a stranger entering the Nam Son village. Through administrative inspection, it was found that the girl named LTNY, born in 2006, residing in Khe Ngau village, Xa Luong commune (Tuong Duong).

NY said: On July 7, 2020, during the summer vacation, Y. took a bus to Hanoi to visit his father who was working as a factory worker and stayed in Hanoi for about 1 month. On August 5, 2020, NY was taken by his father to return home.

However, when she reached Khe Diem bridge intersection, Bong Khe commune (Con Cuong), Y. got off the bus and was picked up by her boyfriend, Vi Van T., born in 2003, to go to Nam Son village, Mon Son commune (Con Cuong district) to play. Although Vi Van T. was a friend Y. had only known on Facebook for 3 days, when T texted Y. to invite her to his hometown to play, the young girl agreed.

After that, Mon Son Commune Police Department contacted NY's father to confirm the information. Upon hearing the news, Y.'s father took a bus from Hanoi to Con Cuong to pick up his son and bring him home.

The above incident is a warning bell for students, especially minors, to be careful when communicating and making friends via Facebook, to avoid being lured and scammed by bad people. At the same time, parents should also pay attention to managing their children's communication, friendship and use of social networks, to avoid unfortunate consequences.
