Huu Khuong children cross the lake to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival early
(Baonghean.vn) - Children in Ban Ve hydroelectric reservoir take boats to celebrate the early Mid-Autumn Festival in the center of Huu Khuong commune.
The early Mid-Autumn Festival was organized by the Nghe An Joint Press Club, the Tuong Duong district government, a number of businesses and charitable organizations in Nghe An on the evening of September 30 at the headquarters of Huu Khuong commune, Tuong Duong district. 700 gifts were mobilized and delivered to children in this event.

In addition, the program also awarded 130 scholarships to 130 children with difficult circumstances who strive to study. On this occasion, officials and civil servants in the area also donated 13 million VND to students of Huu Khuong Kindergarten to provide warm winter clothes.
Total program value 270 million VND.

Huu Khuong Commune is the area of Ban Ve hydroelectric reservoir with 7 villages, inhabited by 3 ethnic minorities: Thai, Kho Mu and Mong. This is the most isolated area in Nghe An province.
The Mid-Autumn Festival event was organized in the spirit of charity with the name "Moon of Love" organized by charity organizations and local authorities with the aim of bringing a meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival to disadvantaged children in the remote commune of Huu Khuong.

The event attracted the attention of children from all 7 villages in this disadvantaged commune. From 2 p.m., 4-year-old Luong Thi Thien Chi was taken by her mother to Con Phen village, a half-hour boat ride from her home, to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. According to her,Lo Thi Thu, mother of baby Thien Chi "This is the first time in my child's life that he has had a Mid-Autumn Festival".
Not only Thien Chi, many children living freely in the heart of Ban Ve Lake are also brought by their parents to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. Ms. Ngan Thi Yen in Cha Coong village said: "The Mid-Autumn Festival is a good opportunity for my children to have more contact with society."
