Deploying response plans to the complex low pressure
(Baonghean.vn) - The low pressure area is evolving complicatedly, with the potential to strengthen into a tropical depression, so the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Nghe An province requires localities and units to raise vigilance and be ready with response solutions.
The Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Nghe An province has just issued Official Dispatch No. 04/CD-VPTT PCTT&TKCN to coastal districts, cities, towns and functional forces and branches on preventing the effects of the low pressure period.

To proactively respond to the low pressure area that is likely to strengthen into a tropical depression, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue requests the Steering Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of the districts: Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc; Towns: Cua Lo, Hoang Mai and Vinh city; Provincial Military Command; Provincial Border Guard Command; Steering Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of the Departments: Agriculture and Rural Development, Transport, Industry and Trade and Provincial Police to strengthen prevention solutions.
Localities and units closely monitor developments of low pressure areas on the media; notify and guide owners of vehicles and boats operating at sea to know their location and direction of movement to escape, or not to enter dangerous areas.
At the same time, deploy plans to ensure the safety of the dam and downstream areas in case the dam has to discharge flood water or has an incident; Organize a 24/7 on-duty team, regularly report to the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 7:00 a.m. on July 15, the center of the low pressure area was located at about 18.5-19.5 degrees North latitude; 107.0-108.0 degrees East longitude, right above the southern area of Bac Bo Gulf; due to the influence of the low pressure area, on Co To island there were strong gusts of wind level 7.
It is forecasted that in the next 12 to 24 hours, the low pressure area will move slowly in the West-Southwest direction at about 5km per hour and is likely to strengthen into a tropical depression. At 7:00 a.m. on July 16, the center of the tropical depression will be at about 18.8 degrees North latitude; 106.7 degrees East longitude, right on the sea of Thanh Hoa-Ha Tinh provinces. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 6 (40-50km/hour), gusting to level 8. The range of strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 8 is about 50km from the center of the tropical depression.
