In the past 20 days, Vietnam has recorded no cases of Covid-19 in the community.
As of 6:00 a.m. on May 6, Vietnam has had no new cases of Covid-19 due to community transmission in the past 20 days.
The Ministry of Health announced that as of 6:00 a.m. on May 6, Vietnam had a total of 131 Covid-19 cases that were quarantined immediately after entering the country. The total number of cases nationwide is 271, of which 232 patients have been cured.

Total number of close contacts and people entering from epidemic areas being monitored for health (quarantined): 34,097 people, including:
- Concentrated isolation at hospital: 245 people.
- Centralized quarantine at other facilities: 10,293 people.
- Isolated at home or place of residence: 23,559 people.
According to the report of the Treatment Subcommittee, National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control:
- Number of cases testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 for the first time: 12 cases.
- Number of cases testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 twice or more: 9 cases.
