"Compared to growing corn, growing chili is much better. If last year my family's 1.5 sao of corn had the highest yield, it only earned 2 million VND, with the chili plant just harvested for the second time, the estimated income is equal to a whole corn crop" - Ms. Le Thi Huong shared.
The high-yield chili planting project was implemented by the Nghia Thuan Commune Agricultural Cooperative for farmers. Up to now, after more than 4 months, the chili plants have fully ripened, entering the mass harvest season. The average yield is from 1.5 - 2 tons/sao, the price of 1 kg of high-yield chili is currently purchased by traders at the field at the lowest price of 7,000 VND/kg; after deducting costs, growers earn from 7 million VND/sao.
According to Mr. Cao Van Quyet in hamlet 6, Nghia Thuan commune, his family planted 1.3 sao of high-yield chili and earned nearly 10 million VND after 4 months.

The whole Nghia Thuan commune has 15 hectares of high-yield chili planted on barren, sandy soil. Thanks to proper care, the chili grows and develops well, producing many fruits. The chili harvest time is within 3 months; Currently, traders are coming to the fields to buy for the people.
Mr. Tran Dai Thang - an officer of the Nghia Thuan Commune Agricultural Cooperative affirmed: This is the first year we have planted this chili variety on the commune's land and found it to be more effective than other crops. With the current productivity and selling price, each hectare of chili can earn from 150 million VND; after deducting costs and care, each hectare gives a profit of about 80 million VND after more than 7 months of planting. With this momentum, next year the Cooperative will continue to expand the chili acreage throughout the commune.
The introduction of high-yield chili varieties into the fields in Nghia Thuan, Thai Hoa town not only aims to diversify crops but also contributes to increasing farmers' income. However, to avoid the situation of massive planting leading to difficulties in product output, Nghia Thuan Agricultural CooperativeIt is necessary to promptly provide appropriate solutions and directions for people./.
