On January 31, Vinh City Medical Center issued an urgent announcement about the epidemic situation caused by the corona virus.

Accordingly, the Center recommends that people avoid traveling if they have a fever or cough, and go to a medical facility immediately if they have suspicious symptoms. Share your travel schedule with medical staff. Avoid contact with people with fever or cough. Wash your hands frequently with soap, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue....

If you feel sick while traveling, immediately notify airline, railway, or car staff and seek medical attention as soon as possible. Only eat cooked food. Do not spit in public places. Avoid contact with domestic or wild animals. Wear a mask when going to crowded places or coming into contact with sick people.

Vinh City Medical Center also recommends that people returning from China and epidemic areas should self-isolate at home and monitor their health for 14 days. They should report to the nearest local authority for support. If they have signs of fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, they should wear a protective mask and immediately notify a medical facility. When arriving, they should call in advance to inform about their symptoms and travel history.
