According to the indictment, on January 24, 2018, Ho Nghia Hoan (the subject caught red-handed by Quy Hop police while using drugs in Tan Lac Town, Quy Chau) met and invited Vu Van Vinh and Tran Van Hoang to Ho Duc Tai's house in Dong Bang hamlet, Dong Hop (Quy Hop) to play.

There, Tai invited Hoan, Vinh and Hoang to use synthetic drugs in his bedroom. Tai then sold Hoan 1 package of heroin and 1 package of synthetic drugs for 2 million VND.

After buying the drugs, Hoan, Vinh and Hoang left. Hoan used some of the drugs at home, the rest were caught red-handed by the police in Quy Chau.

Working with Vinh and Hoang, the subjects all confessed that after Tai gave them drugs, Tai sold 2 packages of drugs to Hoan, witnessed by Vinh and Hoang.

Based on the statements of the subjects, on January 30, 2018, the police arrested and urgently searched Ho Duc Tai, discovered and seized in his rented room a package of heroin under his pillow weighing 0.455g and a package of synthetic drugs in a mask on his bed weighing 4.545g.

At the investigation agency, Tai confessed that he bought the drugs from an unknown man for 2 million VND, then divided a portion to sell to Hoan, and brought the other portion to a motel to sell to drug addicts, but before he could sell it, it was confiscated.

It is known that Ho Duc Tai has a bad personal history and was sentenced by the People's Court of Quy Hop district to 8 months in prison in 2011 and 12 months in prison in 2014, both for "Theft of property".

Based on the evidence and documents examined, the panel sentenced defendant Ho Duc Tai to a total of 9 years in prison for the two crimes of "illegally buying and selling drugs" and "concealing the illegal use of drugs".

As for Hoan, Vinh and Hoang, who are drug addicts and have illegally stored and used drugs, the investigation agency only imposed administrative penalties on them.
