On the afternoon of February 19, Nghe An Department of Health held an online conference on Covid-19 prevention and control and deployed a number of medical examination and treatment tasks. Attending the conference were representatives of leaders of 21 districts, cities, towns and medical units in the province.
At the conference, leaders of Nghe An Province Center for Disease Control reported on the developments of the epidemic situation.Covid-19in the world, in Vietnam and Nghe An province. Of these, 15,038 cases were quarantined and self-monitored at home and place of residence; 91 cases were quarantined at district level; 17 cases were quarantined at hospital level; 11 cases were quarantined at provincial level... The total number of samples taken for testing was 34,637, of which 34,115 were negative, 522 samples are waiting for results.
Leaders of districts, cities, towns and medical units also raised a number of difficulties and problems that need guidance and resolution in Covid-19 prevention work such as isolating experts, taking large-scale samples for testing, medical declarations, etc.

All levels, sectors, localities, medical units and all people need to thoroughly grasp the spirit of not being negligent or subjective about the epidemic; take samples and test "more than enough"; prepare all scenarios and plans for epidemic prevention.

Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh suggested: Local epidemic prevention steering committees need to regularly update the epidemic situation, grasp information and directives from all levels and sectors to promptly respond to epidemic situations; develop specific scenarios and plans for epidemic prevention, especially ensuring materials and human resources to fight the epidemic.
Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control has instructed medical units to promote communication activities, especially "Health declaration - QR Code" and 5K messages; maintain a rapid response team to promptly handle situations; manage hotlines well; proactively prepare materials, testing machines, and human resources to be ready to conduct voluntary Covid-19 tests for people according to the province's policy.
Medical examination and treatment facilities need to properly implement the Safe Hospital Criteria in epidemic prevention; perform well the work of screening patients and their relatives; conduct Covid-19 tests for all medical staff when necessary. Medical centers need to continue to advise localities on epidemic prevention, especially the preparation of materials, human resources to fight the epidemic and the movement and activities of self-managed residential groups to fight the epidemic so that everyone can actively and voluntarily fight the epidemic./.
