Thai Hoa Town: Supplementing the master plan for socio-economic development to 2020
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 6, 2015, the People's Committee of Thai Hoa town held a conference to supplement and adjust the master plan for socio-economic development until 2020.
According to the plan, the economic growth rate of Thai Hoa town is maintained at over 11.5% per year; the average income per capita reaches from 61 to 65 million VND/person/year. The economic structure of the town has shifted appropriately, with agriculture, forestry and fishery accounting for 12%, construction industry 28%, and trade and services accounting for 60%. In the period 2015-2020, 100% of communes will meet the NTM standards. By 2020, the total area of industrial clusters will be about 400 to 500 hectares. Continue to plan Phu Quy industrial park, plan to develop Tay Hieu industrial cluster, and adjust Nghia My industrial cluster to minimize environmental pollution.

In the service sector, develop services along National Highway 48, Road N6, etc.; upgrade some ward and commune markets; build a commercial area in Long Son ward.
In agriculture, take advantage of soil conditions to plan and develop industrial rubber and coffee growing areas; citrus fruit trees; grow high-quality safe vegetables; and raise dairy and beef cattle.
Regarding socio-culture, focus on preserving and promoting the values of Lang Vac archaeological site; the relic site of Uncle Ho's visit to Dong Hieu farm. Infrastructure and technical facilities are also invested and upgraded; there are many key projects such as: Road N6; main road, Hieu 2 bridge; Nghe An Northwest Regional General Hospital; entertainment areas...
By 2020, Thai Hoa town is to be built into the center of the Northwest region of Nghe An in terms of trade, telecommunications and information technology, finance - banking, education - training, healthcare, culture - tourism, science and technology; with synchronous and gradually modern infrastructure; the material and spiritual life of the people is improved; there is an advanced culture imbued with Nghe An identity; national defense - security is strong, social order and safety is ensured.
