Thai Hoa Town launched the 12th "Nghe An Learning Promotion Festival"

(Baonghean.vn) - On January 23, Thai Hoa Town's Association for Promoting Education held a conference to summarize the work of 2014, deploy tasks for 2015; and launch the 12th "Nghe An Promotion of Education Festival".

Town leaders awarded certificates of merit to individuals.

Currently, the Town's Education Promotion Association has 10 commune and ward education promotion associations, 22 clan education promotion committees, hometown associations, 126/126 hamlets have education promotion branches, 34 school branches with 11,070 members, of which 10,920 members have been granted cards.

In 2014, the grassroots education promotion association in the entire town mobilized 603,650,000 VND. Especially during the "Tet to encourage learning" and "Month to encourage learning", the entire town mobilized nearly 1 billion VND.

During the year, the Association also awarded scholarships to 4,512 excellent students, students in difficult circumstances and excellent teachers with the amount of 650,400,000 VND. On the occasion of the new school year, the Association supported 1 student in especially difficult circumstances to continue studying at university with the amount of 2,000,000 VND, and awarded 27 scholarships to students from poor households with excellent academic performance with the total amount of more than 10 million VND. At the same time, in coordination with Thai Hoa Town Youth Union, it donated 19 bicycles to poor students who overcame difficulties with the amount of nearly 30 million VND. At the closing ceremony, the Association also launched the 12th "Nghe An Education Promotion Festival" in the spring of At Mui 2015.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education awarded the Medal for the Cause of Promoting Education to 5 individuals. The Association for Promoting Education of Nghe An province and the Town People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 6 groups and 7 individuals who had outstanding achievements in the task of building the Association for Promoting Education in 2014.
