(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 5, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; the Vietnam Red Cross Society and the Red Cross Societies of provinces and cities organized to receive and coordinate with local authorities to give gifts and goods to people affected by floods in Ky Son and Yen Thanh districts.

Since October 2, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has allocated 34.6 billion VND in emergency support for local people to overcome natural disasters.

In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province connected and guided a number of sponsors to directly support and provide relief to people affected by natural disasters in the districts of Hung Nguyen, Thanh Chuong, Nghi Loc with 300 gifts, 3 tons of rice and 55 million VND in cash, total value of over 160 million VND.

*On the morning of October 5, in Muong Xen town and Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province Red Cross Association coordinated with Lien Tam Hoi charity group of Ho Chi Minh City to present 70 cash gifts to people affected by natural disasters with a total value of nearly 180 million VND; and also presented 100 million VND in cash to Ky Son district. The total amount of support on this occasion is 280 million VND, of which the source of Nghe An province Red Cross Association is 100 million VND.

On the same morning, the Provincial Red Cross organized the donation of 100 water filters to flood victims in Yen Thanh district with a total value of 110 million VND.
