Provincial Fatherland Front Committee receives food support for people in difficulty

(Baonghean.vn) - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Le Van Ngoc expressed his sincere thanks for the meaningful work of Wilmar CLV Group towards the community, joining hands with the locality to support people facing many difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.

On the morning of May 12, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held a ceremony to receive rice support for people in difficult circumstances due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic from member companies of Wilmar CLV Group.

At the ceremony, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee received 10 tons of rice and 2,000 liters of cooking oil from Wilmar CLV - the Group that owns the Neptune and Meizan brands, worth 260 million VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Le Van Ngoc thanked Wilmar CLV Group for its meaningful work towards the community, joining hands with the locality to support people facing many difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee informed that due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic in Nghe An province, Nghe An province has received and quarantined more than 9,200 cases according to regulations at 28 centralized quarantine points in localities in the province.

Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province has issued a call for "All people to participate in supporting the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic". And Nghe An ranks 3rd in the country (after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi) in terms of the amount of money donated to support the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, many people are facing difficulties due to job loss and lack of income. Therefore, in parallel with calling on organizations, units and individuals to support the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee calls on charitable organizations and individuals to donate food support to people in difficult circumstances.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee affirmed that the goods handed over at today's ceremony will be publicly and promptly allocated by the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to each specific subject.

After the handover ceremony, representatives of Wilmar CLV Group directly presented 100 gift bags to the Fatherland Front Committees of Hung Nguyen and Nam Dan districts in each locality for people in difficulty (1 gift bag includes 5kg of rice and a bottle of cooking oil).
