World gold increased to 1924.8 USD/oz

Converting world gold prices according to foreign exchange rates at Vietcombank: 1 USD = 24,150 VND, world gold price is equivalent to 56 million VND/tael, 11.95 million VND/tael lower than the selling price of SJC gold on the morning of August 26, 2023.

Domestic gold price,At the end of the trading session on August 25, the price of 9999 gold bars at SJC Ho Chi Minh City was 67.35 million VND/tael (buy) and 67.95 million VND/tael (sell). SJC Hanoi listed at 67.35 million VND/tael (buy) and 67.97 million VND/tael (sell).

USD price increased

USD priceAt commercial banks, the price fluctuated little, trading around 23,780 VND per USD for buying and 24,150 VND per USD for selling.

However, in the world, the USD price increased sharply. The DXY index - measuring the strength of the USD compared to 6 major currencies - at 22:23 on August 25, Vietnam time, reached 104.34 points, up 0.34% compared to the previous session.

World oil prices continue to rise

On August 25, world oil prices turned up after falling continuously since the beginning of the week.

According to data from Oilprice, at 10:02 a.m. on August 25 (Vietnam time), Brent oil price was at 83.61 USD/barrel, up 0.25 USD, equivalent to 0.3% compared to the previous session. WTI oil price was at 79.3 USD/barrel, up 0.25 USD, equivalent to 0.32% compared to the previous session.

At 8:33 p.m. on August 25 (Vietnam time), Brent oil price reached 84.36 USD/barrel, up 1 USD, equivalent to 1.2% compared to the previous session. WTI oil price was at 80.01 USD/barrel, up 0.96 USD, equivalent to 1.21% compared to the previous session.

Oil prices rose after news of falling oil and gas reserves in Europe outweighed supply concerns, analysts said.

In addition, many analysts believe that Saudi Arabia will likely continue to voluntarily cut oil production by 1 million barrels per day until October, in the context that the country aims to further reduce global inventories.

Coffee price increased to 65,200 VND/kg

After many days of price increase, the pricecoffeeDomestic prices on August 26, 2023 increased slightly, reaching an average price of 64,800 VND/kg. Coffee prices increased slightly in the previous days.

Specifically, coffee prices in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces stood at VND64,500/kg, down VND500/kg from the previous session. In Dak Nong province, the highest coffee price was VND65,200/kg.

The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province is purchased at 64,400 VND/kg.

In Dak Lak province, coffee prices are currently between 64,100 VND and 65,100 VND/kg.
