Singer Thuy Tien recounted: "Childhood memories suddenly came flooding back, because back then, behind the summer house, there were nearly 20 big jars to store rainwater. My childhood was associated with it because I often jumped into the jars to escape being beaten by my mother, or stole turtles and fish from my grandmother and hid them in the jars to wait until noon when everyone was asleep and then released them into the river. Suddenly, one day, I think a class 2-3 student came home from school and found that all the jars were 'missing' and asked my mother where my jars were. My mother said that in the ward, people were campaigning not to store water in jars anymore to avoid mosquitoes and larvae that cause disease, so many people moved to the fields, and when there were too many jars to move, they broke them up. Looking at the empty space with no more jars left, I was sad. Memories came flooding back like a storm."
