Vu Thang Loi: My hometown Nghe An gives me the inspiration to excel in music.

In 2015, answering Nghe An Newspaper's question about whether he was afraid of being overwhelmed by senior singers in the music genre he was pursuing, Vu Thang Loi expressed: "I always want to be a next generation, to be a bridge between two generations attached to chamber music to serve the public."

Up to now, Vu Thang Loi has increasingly asserted himself in the Vietnamese music industry and it can be said that he has become a strong bridge between two generations.

Calling the live show "Aspiration" the greatest work for his career, he believes: "If you work in a profession, you must live with passion for it. If you are an artist, you must devote yourself to the audience and I am no exception."

Naming the live show “Aspiration”, he conveyed many meanings: “That is the aspiration of youth, the aspiration of music, the aspiration of an artist, the aspiration for the music he pursues, the aspiration to hope that his music has its own value, and its message is also the message of every country, a nation that longs to reach out with aspiration”, he said.

Like many artists when starting their first live show, the budget is always an issue. The singer from Vinh revealed that he was lucky that the guests were all people he respected in his career as well as in life, they were all brothers, sisters, and younger brothers who were willing to help him when organizing.

The idea of ​​his own live show appeared in Vu Thang Loi's mind since 2017, associated with 10 years in professional music, however there were many barriers that prevented him from completing his "Aspiration" that year.

“I thought that if I hesitated and calculated, I would never be able to do it. I put myself in a fait accompli situation... or let myself "ride the tiger's back" so that things could happen. I kept telling myself to keep moving forward. I believed that God and the audience would bless me,” he said.

Before the big live show, he also thought about his hometown Nghe An with full affection, he confided: "I always ache for my hometown, but I am still too young to do anything for my hometown, but my soul always turns to it and it is my hometown that gives me the inspiration to sublimate more in music!".

Vu Thang Loi's live show "Aspiration" with musician Hong Kien as artistic director will take place at the end of December 2018 in Hanoi, with the participation of guests: Trong Tan, Lan Anh and Uyen Linh.

Vu Thang Loi was born on March 13, 1985 in Vinh City, Nghe An Province. He graduated from the College of the Military University of Culture and Arts, and is currently working at the Art Troupe of Military Region 2. Vu Thang Loi made his mark with the Championship in the Sao Mai Diem Hen Contest 2011 and his name was mentioned more when he participated in the Live show "Favorite Song" 2012 of VTV.

Besides classical chamber music, Vu Thang Loi also sings lyrical and folk songs well and has also successfully collaborated with singer Uyen Linh in the program "In the Spotlight 8" with the compositions of musician Duc Tri. In 2014, Vu Thang Loi officially introduced to the audience his first album with the theme "Love Song".
